Welcome to the official website of the MESSM

We are happy to inform you that a new professional Society for Sexual Medicine in the Middle East region was founded in August 2010.  A group of highly respected Sexual Medicine Specialists from the Middle East have formed the founding committee for the Middle East Society for Sexual Medicine (MESSM).

The first scientific activity of the newly established MESSM was the organization of the 1st Biennial Meeting of the Middle East Society for Sexual Medicine which took place in Dubai, from 3 to 5 March 2011. MESSM's symposia a success!

The MESSM organized its first symposium, entitled " Highlights on Sexual Medicine in the Middle East" in Kuwait on the 21st of October, 2011. The second symposium took place in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) on 20th of January, 2012. Both symposia were very successful and had good attendance.
The MESSM wishes to thank all those who participated in making the symposia a success, including the local organizing committees, Prof. Adel Al Hunayan and Prof. Hamdy Abdul-Halim of the Kuwait Urological Association; Prof. Hesham Mosli (head of local organizing committee of the Saudi symposium). A special thanks to Shedeed Ashour and Abdulaziz Baazeem who made the Saudi symposium possible.

Affiliation to ISSM

We proudly announce that as from 1 January 2012 the MESSM is officially affiliated to the International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM).

 

Executive Committee and Board of Directors

The first MESSM Business Meeting took place at the Monte Carlo Ballroom of the Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach on Friday 4 March 2011. During this meeting the MESSM Members have elected the MESSM Executive Committee and the Board of Directors.
